I’m so excited to tell you that my online print shop is now open and taking orders!
I reached a point in my life 6 years ago where I knew I wanted more from my working life. I was climbing the corporate ladder and desperately wanted to do something creative. I wanted a passion that filled my life with joy. I bought a camera and took a course. I considered starting a business as a wedding photographer, but I wasn’t in the right mind set to start a business at the time.
I started and Instagram account instead. I used my photography skills to capture flowers, gardens, landscapes and more. I originally used The Fox and Dingo to trade vintage wares, however it was the content I was taking and sharing of floral designs from flowers I grew, that gained the most attention. This lead me down a path of growing, arranging and selling flowers and seeds and practicing my art well enough to become a wedding and event florist.
I’ve loved photography for as long as I can remember. I was the only student at my high school taking photography as part of my visual arts class for VCE. I often had the darkroom to myself, and relished in the creativity that came with the process of developing film. I was reminded of that feeling just a few weeks ago, when for the first time in 6 years of photographing nature, I finally printed some photos and decided they were good enough to be shared with you.
I have recently realised that I can do it all. I can be a florist, and flower grower, an artist and a photographer. I have recently taken on a day job outside of this creative life and it feels good to be at a point in my life where I can do all of these things that together bring me both joy, and a steady income.
if you decide to purchase my photographs, please know every cent of profit will be going towards our savings to eventually purchase our dream flower farm where we can live, grow, create and share it all with you.
I really hope you love this collection of images from my personal archives of memories and moments in nature, captured through the lens of my camera.
Much love, Lauren x
